Founded by Megan Lenehan, MT-BC, Rhythm and Renewal Music Therapy is based in Nashville, Tennessee, offering in-person sessions in Tennessee and New Jersey, as well as nationwide telehealth services through our secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
Megan is a board-certified music therapist who has worked with individuals across all walks of life and ability. She completed her internship in nursing rehabilitation, memory care, and assisted living, and has held roles in private practice, inpatient psychiatric care, a cancer research center, and school-based settings supporting students with IEPs. Her diverse experience reflects her deep passion for serving a wide range of populations and meeting people wherever they are in their journey.
Megan was truly born to be a music therapist. From a young age, she volunteered in programs for children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities, finding joy in helping others through creativity and connection. She earned her undergraduate degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Tampa (2016) and later discovered her calling for Music Therapy in 2020, completing her professional training at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
At Rhythm and Renewal, our approach is humanistic and strengths-based, designed to meet each person where they are. Whether through songwriting, guided relaxation, improvisation, or musical engagement, every session is crafted to support emotional wellness, authentic self-discovery, and healing.
We provide individual, family, and group music therapy for people of all backgrounds and goals, specializing in work with children and adults with special needs, individuals experiencing trauma, depression and anxiety, and those living with dementia.
